1. Go to https://ds.tennessee.edu/passwords/setup.asp.
2. Type in your NetID. This was provided to you in your acceptance email. Once that has been entered, click Continue.
3. US Student: Select SSN (Last 4) and enter the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, as well as your birthdate. Click Continue.
International Student: Select UTS Student ID and enter your Student ID, as well as your birthdate. If you don't know your Student ID, please contact your admissions counselor. Click Continue.
4. You will now be prompted to choose 3 security questions to answer. Put checks next to any three questions and click Continue.
5. You will now enter answers to the three security questions you selected in the previous step. Once all three questions have been answered, click Continue.
6. Verify that the answers to the security questions are correct, and then click Continue.
7. You will be asked if you would like to sign up for DUO Mobile. Click Sign Up.
*IMPORTANT: DUO Mobile is required for students, faculty, and staff at UT Southern. If you skip setting up DUO, you will be unable to access your account.
8. You will now begin the DUO Mobile setup process. For steps on how to do this, please reference this article: https://utsouthern.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/260/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=4952. Please Note: If you are a Mac user, select the DUO mobile option, NOT the Touch ID option (which will show as the recommended option).
9. Once you have finished DUO setup, you may be prompted once again to sign up for DUO. Since you have already set this up, click Not Today.
10. You will now be shown tips on how to protect your account. We recommend you review these tips before proceeding. Once you have finished, click Continue.
11. You are now prompted to create your new password. Before typing a new password, review the complexity requirements. Make sure the password you choose does not include any part of your name or netid. Once you have typed your new password and verified it, click the Acceptable Use Policy box and click Continue.
12. If your password meets the complexity requirements, you should get a success message. Your password has now been successfully been set up.
