To upload a file from OneDrive to a Canvas assignment, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to Canvas
- Open Canvas on your browser and log in using your credentials.
- Navigate to the course where the assignment is located.
Step 2: Locate the Assignment
- Go to the Assignments section of the course.
- Find the specific assignment you want to submit your OneDrive file to and click on it.
Step 3: Open the Submission Window
- Once you open the assignment, click the Submit Assignment button (usually located at the top right of the assignment page).
Step 4: Select the Cloud Upload Option
- In the submission options, look for the Office 365 option.
- Click on Office 365 as the source for uploading the file:

Step 5: Connect to OneDrive
- If you haven't connected your OneDrive account to Canvas before, Canvas may ask you to:
- Sign in to your Microsoft/Office 365 account.

- Grant permissions for Canvas to access your OneDrive files.

Step 6: Choose the File
- Once connected, a file picker will open displaying your OneDrive files.
- Navigate through your OneDrive folders to find the file you want to upload.
- Select the file and click Attach or Submit.
Step 7: Confirm and Submit
- After selecting the file, Canvas will upload it as your assignment submission.
- Confirm that the correct file has been uploaded and click Submit Assignment.
Step 8: Verify Submission
- You’ll see a confirmation message, often with a timestamp, confirming that your assignment has been submitted successfully. Some courses may allow you to resubmit if needed.
