Users may see service degradation when using safari such as slow load times & sites not loading. The reason for this is due to Apple devices hiding web traffic which is prohibited on the UT Southern network. We recommend using Google Chrome (or similar browser) for web browsing. If you do not have chrome, we recommend trying the following on your device to use safari to download another browser:
- Turn off Private Relay: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Private Relay > Turn off Private Relay.
- Check Safari Settings: Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Disable "Advanced Tracking and Fingerprinting Protection" if enabled.
- Disable IP Tracking on Wi-Fi: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Tap the (i) next to your connected network > Turn off "Limit IP Address Tracking".
If you have further issues, or continue to experience network issues on your device, please reach out to IT via email (infotech@utsouthern.edu), or by phone (931-424-2009).
